Owner Spotlight: Kamera Lynn
Some people turn their passion into a profession while others spend years searching for the right career path. Fortunately for me, I found my passion and true calling at a fairly young age. When I was in high school, I fell in love with photography while taking photos for a journalism class. I then went on to study fine art photography in college to help nourish my new passion. After graduating, I realized that documenting couples in love was what made me feel alive.
I decided to follow my heart and start a photography business to provide couples with high-quality images highlighting their natural and beautiful connection. While I have been a professional photographer for over ten years, I have been offering wedding and elopement photography services to clients for nearly four years.
As a wedding and elopement photographer, I vow to capture the feelings and intimate moments shared between couples, and not just their faces. In recent months, I’ve even noticed a trend for small, intimate wedding celebrations, which isn’t surprising considering the state the world is currently in. Besides, the more I document elopements and intimate weddings, the more I recognize their value and love them even more!
As a professional, I believe that each love story is unique and requires paying special attention to details, which is what sets a couple apart from others. To capture these details, it is important for me to first love my clients and get to know them on a personal level. When this happens, I can serve clients in a more profound and personal way on the biggest day of their lives.
It is an amazing feeling to be invited and trusted enough to document the beginning of a couple’s journey together, and I have loved watching past couples (that I now call friends) grow in their relationship and expand their families.
The most satisfying part of owning this business is when I see the joy on my clients’ faces, or their eyes fill up with happy tears as they relive their wedding day through images. This is an incredible feeling and makes me want to continue my journey in this industry forever!
Clients that have gushed about their experience in working with me to their friends and family have continually propelled me forward, and I owe all my success to these past clients who share the love! Sometimes, I can’t believe how lucky I am to find clients that end up being friends.
When I’m not working, I usually spend time in the great outdoors, trying to enjoy simple moments with my family, or catching up with my best friends. I feel strongly that every person is beautiful because of the things that make them unique. So, I think if more people are comfortable being vulnerable enough to just be themselves, the world would be a better, happier place.
I’ve enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
